Mission and Vision

Mission

The fundamental mission of the Department of Measurement and Evaluation in Education is to educate teachers who can validly and reliably assess their students’ knowledge, skills, abilities, and various characteristic traits, and to organize assessment processes in a way that contributes to their individual development. Moreover, we emphasize the importance of our trained teachers being competent in effectively interpreting the data obtained from all these measurement and evaluation processes and utilizing it to improve educational processes. Additionally, at the graduate level, we focus on training competent researchers who not only possess the theoretical and practical competence required to effectively conduct measurement and evaluation processes in scientific research but also specialize in developing qualified tests and scales and are competent in complex and large-scale data analysis.

Our Department of Measurement and Evaluation in Education aims to become a nationally and internationally recognized focal point in the field of measurement and evaluation, utilizing contemporary approaches and research. Furthermore, actively engaging in shaping educational policies and sharing the knowledge and experiences we continuously acquire to benefit society are integral parts of our vision. Leading various initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the quality of educational processes and comprehensively addressing the integration of technology with measurement and evaluation by paving the way for transformative digital advancements in learning also hold significant places among our goals.
