The Division of Physics Education consists of six professors, one associated professor, one instructor, and one research assistant. Every year, about 20 students are registered to the division, which accepts students according to their quantitative scores from the student selection examination, which is a centralized examination system for access to higher education in Turkey. The division offers formal education to about 80 students. Prospective teachers graduating from the division after four years can work in the governmental and private educational institutions monitored by the Ministry of Education of Turkey as physics teachers, as well as researchers and academicians by starting postgraduate studies at the divisions of physics education and other related departments of the universities in Turkey and abroad.
