Admission and Registration Conditions |
Acceptance based on the GPA and ALES score earned in the same or related disciplines, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree with Thesis, Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES) or equivalent GRE, GMAT and acceptable score on Language Proficiency. It is necessary to have a weighted score that can be achieved. However; ALES score is not required for the applications of graduates of doctorate / proficiency in art / specialization in medicine / specialization in dentistry / specialization in veterinary medicine / specialization in pharmacy to doctoral programs, and in the admission of students to the main arts and departments in the institutes of Conservatory programs and Fine Arts Faculties programs that accept students only with special talent exam. Final acceptance depends on the evaluation of the relevant academic unit commission. Admission conditions for international students are decided by the Institute Board of Directors. |
Rules on Recognition of Prior Learning |
Successful students who have completed at least one semester in another institute department within the university or in the graduate program of another higher education institution can apply for horizontal transfer on the announced dates, if a quota is determined by the Board of Directors. Conditions for admission through horizontal transfer are determined by the institute’s board of directors. |

The aim of the Primary Mathematics Teaching Doctorate Program is to provide basic knowledge and skills in the field of primary mathematics education. In addition, it is aimed to improve the skills of graduate students in using scientific approaches in their fields. The training program has been prepared to contribute to the personal and professional development of primary school mathematics teachers. The program language is Turkish. |

Employment Profiles of Graduates |
The relevant doctoral degree provides its graduates with the rights and privileges necessary to practice their profession. Doctoral graduates of the Department of Primary Mathematics Teaching can work as teachers in the Ministry of National Education and its affiliated private schools and private teaching institutions, as well as serve as civil servants in different institutions of the state. They can also work in the private sector in fields related to instructional technologies. |
Transition to Higher Degree Programs |
Graduates can apply for postdoctoral studies. Graduates who successfully complete the doctoral program can apply to postdoctoral programs in their field, provided that they receive a valid score from the ALES exam and provide English language proficiency. |

Graduation Requirements |
PhD program; It consists of at least seven courses, a thesis proposal, a field of expertise course, a qualifying exam and a thesis study, provided that they are taken from the course groups specified in the teaching plans, with a minimum of twenty-one credits and not more than thirty credits. The total ECTS credits of the program is 240. The program consists of at least seven courses, one seminar course and thesis work, with a total of not less than 21 local credits. The master’s degree program consists of compulsory and elective courses. The total ECTS credits of the program is 240. Graduation requirements are as detailed in the “Qualification Conditions and Rules” section. |
