The Instructional Technology Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory within the Buca Faculty of Education of Dokuz Eylül University was established as an environment where academicians and undergraduate/graduate students can find the opportunity to research, develop and implement educational technologies that they can use in their education-focused projects.
The R&D laboratory, which is run with a maker culture, includes three-dimensional printers, robotic development kits, holograms, virtual reality glasses and similar technologies. Our laboratory, which is open to the use of every department within our faculty, provides service with an appointment system so that our academic and research students can benefit from our projects effectively, efficiently, transparently and ethically and for the safety of equipment. Since it is in an accessible location, it is very easy to reach and students from different departments meet here to develop their projects. Upon request, mentoring support is provided to students, academics and graduate students by the coordinator of LAB regarding existing educational technologies.
